Cookies Policy

Why a Cookie Policy?

For maximum transparency, we would like to allow you to know more about the origin and purpose of the information processed during your navigation on our site, and about the rights you benefit from with regard to cookies and other trackers used by our website.

In fact, trackers and cookies may be placed on your browsing terminal when you visit our site https://shop.42alumni.org.

Only the issuer of a cookie can read or modify the information contained therein.

What is a cookie?

Cookies and tracers are small computer files, placed and read when consulting websites, reading an email, installing or using software or a mobile application and this, regardless of the terminal you use.

Your navigation terminal corresponds to the device you use to surf the internet (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.).

There are different cookies, which correspond to different uses: session cookies which disappear when you leave a site, audience analyses, saving a shopping cart, automatic translation of the language of websites, adaptation of the site to the format of the terminal screen used...

How does it work?

Cookies and trackers are generally only placed when you have consented.

You can modify the choices you have made at any time, by reversing the consents given or by finally accepting a cookie that you would have initially refused.

Other cookies are exempt from the collection of your consent, being purely technical and/or functional cookies.

Other ways to manage cookies are presented below.

Purposes of cookies

The purposes of the cookies we use on our website are:

  • To analyze the audience of our site, that is to say the frequentation of our pages and the use made of the site, if necessary to allow us to develop our site or our services, and improve the browsing experience;
  • To make the site more functional, more efficient, more user-friendly and more interactive;
  • To enable basic functionalities of our website;
  • To assess potential fraud or risks.

Cookies and consent

During your first visit to our site, you are asked to generally accept or refuse the cookies that you wish to see placed on your browsing terminal.

You can also give us your choices by specifically accepting or refusing each cookie using our consent management module.

You can choose to accept all cookies overall, to refuse them overall, but also to reconsider your choices if you change your mind and accept or refuse them one by one.

Some cookies are accepted by default, or not subject to your consent to the extent that they are only intended to enable or facilitate communication between our site and your device, or strictly necessary for the provision of online communication services, at your request express.

These are purely technical cookies, as identified in the table above.

If you do not want cookies to be installed or read on your terminal equipment, a refusal cookie will be placed on your equipment so that we can record the information that you have objected to the use of cookies.

If you delete this refusal cookie, it will no longer be possible to identify you as having refused the installation of cookies: we will then ask you the question during your new visit to our site, as if you were visiting our site for the first time .

If you choose to accept cookies, an acceptance cookie will be placed on your device and if you delete it, we will also ask you the question.

Refusal or acceptance cookies should, ideally, remain on your terminal.

Other options for setting cookies

A- Browser settings

In addition to the module that we provide to you, you can also directly configure your internet browser to choose to accept all cookies, to reject them systematically or to choose those that you wish to see installed on your terminal.

You can also regularly delete cookies from your device via your browser.

Don't forget, however, that this setting must be made on each of the terminals and each of the browsers that you use.

The settings for each browser are different, here are some examples:
